Every year the Drug Enforcement Administration promotes national prescription drug take back events on the last Saturday of April and October. These events are held to help combat the opioid epidemic and provide a safe, convenient, and ecological way to dispose of prescription medication.
Typically in Siskiyou County, the Siskiyou Opioid Safety Coalition collaborates with Law Enforcement to host local events, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, these events have not taken place this year.
